One man was killed on Thursday on Chicago’s Southwest Side after the car he was traveling in struck a light pole. The car was said to be traveling at an excessive rate of speed when it crashed. The passenger in the car, Lorenzo Balcazar-Lopez was pronounced dead at the scene. The driver was in critical condition.

When a passenger is killed in an automobile accident, the victim’s family may be able to take legal action against the driver of the car that caused the accident for the wrongful death of their family member. The family should contact an attorney to determine what legal action they may be able to take.
