A van drove up onto the sidewalk at 230 West Washington Monday morning causing injuries to three pedestrians and the driver of the van. The van struck two of the pedestrians and then a garbage can causing it to crash into the windows at Cosi, a local restaurant. There was no immediate information on what caused the van to drive onto the sidewalk.
All four of the injured people were taken to the hospital, and at least one person was in critical condition. Those injured may be able to take legal action against the driver of the van for the injuries they received in the accident. The pedestrians should contact an attorney to find out their legal rights and possible remedies.
