Thomas Bujnowski was only 47 years old when he died Friday morning. Bujnowski’s body was found near the train tracks at Route 14 and Lincoln Street in Fox River Grove, Illinois. It is believed Bujnowski was hit by a Union Pacific freight train. His death has been ruled an accident but there is an ongoing investigation.

Police hope to find additional answers to how Thomas Bujnowski was killed and to determine if the train operator or train line was at fault for the accident. If Bujnowski’s death was caused by the train operator his family may be able to recover for his wrongful death and should contact an attorney to learn more about their legal rights.
