Four members of the Bluffton University baseball team were killed just days ago after the bus they were traveling on hit an overpass and fell, causing the bus to land on its side. The driver and his wife were also killed. The Ohio team was driving through Atlanta, Georgia on its way to Florida when the tragic accident occurred. Most of the players were asleep at the time.
Several of the team members were rushed to the hospital in critical condition and some still remain. There were no drugs or alcohol found in the driver’s system, and he was reported as a “fresh” driver. He had started driving the bus that day only an hour or so before the crash.
During this tragic time, the families and friends of the students and the driver and his wife are in our thoughts.
