A bus traveling in Clearfield, Pennsylvania early Sunday morning veered off the road and crashed, killing two people and injuring thirty-one other passengers. It is not known at this time what caused the bus to exit and re-enter the road, but eventually it ended up on its side. Several of the passengers that survived were transferred to nearby hospitals in serious condition.

This tragic bus accident falls on the heels of the Georgia bus accident that killed several college baseball players and severely injured many others. These two bus accidents raise concerns about the safety of traveling in coach buses, especially in the early morning hours. Both the Pennsylvania and Georgia accidents occurred early in the morning prior to sunrise.

While the cause of the Pennsylvania accident is still being investigated, it is likely that the bus driver and ultimately the bus company will be held responsible for the injuries and deaths of the passengers. The passengers and their families may be able to take legal action against the bus driver and the bus company and should contact an attorney.
