The number of reported illness and deaths of cats and dogs from contaminated Menu Foods, Inc. pet food are increasing as the days pass. A recall was originally issued on March 17, 2007 by the FDA about the contaminated food. There are approximately 51 brands of dog food and 40 brands of cat food that are affected by the recall. The contaminated food causes kidney failure in the animals and many have suffered severe illness and even death.

Pet owners across the country have had to watch their once energetic and full of life family members slowly deteriorate. The cats and dogs become lethargic and stop eating. Then they begin to go into kidney failure.

The illness of a pet should not be taken lightly. These pets are considered a family member and the families deserve answers.
