A CTA bus collided with a semi truck on March 5, 2007. The accident happened on the South Side of Chicago in the afternoon hours. The bus that was involved in the accident was the number 51 bus and it was traveling northbound when if was involved in the collision at 47th and LaSalle streets.

As a result of the collision between the CTA bus and the truck, ten people were transported to local hospitals. Of the ten people, at that time five were reported to be in good to fair condition while the other five were reported to be in fair to serious condition. At this time there is no additional information on the cause of the accident. This accident comes as the CTA blue line accident finally begins to quiet down and answers are beginning to be given.
