A Chicago woman made the biggest mistake of her life, which turned out to be deadly, when she did something we all do at various times in our life. She allowed the Comcast cable installer to enter her home. She and another woman were found murdered that same day. A lawsuit has been filed against Comcast for the murders.

The man accused of murdering the women, Anthony Triplett, has a history of being in trouble with the law. He is a resgisterd sex offender who was charged with having sex with a minor. The company claims a criminal background check was done on Triplett, but how is it possible that the fact that he was a registered sex offender slip through Comcast’s fingers?

These murders bring to light the reality that we often do not know who we are really letting into our homes. Companies sending out repair people need to follow strict rules about who they hire to ensure that the public is safe.
