A five year old girl was found with serious head trauma at her home in unincorporated Maine Township last evening. The girl was taken to Lutheran General Hospital. She was found by police at her house, but there is no information on why the police came to the home in the first place or how the little girl was injured.
There is an investigation currently pending regarding the girls head injury. It is unknown whether the injury occurred in the home or was a result of some type of accident outside the home.
