An SUV and a car collided on the South Side of Chicago Monday morning. The collision with the SUV was so hard that the SUV rolled over and the people in the SUV were thrown from the truck. Eight people were injured in the accident and were taken to three different hospitals. The victims were all in serious condition but the injuries were reported to be non-life-threatening.
The driver of the car that crashed into the SUV fled the scene on foot and had not been found as of 5:00 am on Monday. It is believed that the alcohol may have been a factor in the crash.
There were no reports at the time of the crash whether the passengers in the SUV were wearing seat belts.
