A salmonella outbreak in Kane County has been linked to cheese that was possibly illegally produced. The outbreak has made at least 20 people ill. The cheese that appears to be contaminated is Mexican-style white cheese that was being sold in Kane County. The cheese that seems to be effected is cheese being sold in unlabeled packages or from street vendors.

After an investigation into the outbreak, officials believe that the cheese is possibly being manufactured out of someone’s home using unpasteurized milk.

If you have become ill from this cheese, contact a lawyer because you may have a case. Do not throw away the cheese. Keep it in a safe place until you have determined if you want to pursue legal action.
