Thirteen year old Samuel Coberly Jr. of Park Ridge, Illinois was killed Thursday morning when he was on his way to school. He was riding his bicycle on Touhy Avenue when he was hit and killed by a semi-truck. His father tried to revive him but was unsuccessful.
It is unclear at this time how the truck collided with the boy, but it appears that the truck was not speeding at the time. The family of Samuel Coberly Jr. may be entitled to file a wrongful death suit against the truck driver and the trucking company if the truck driver was the cause of the boy’s death.
