Ford recently announced it is recalling 3.6 million vehicles due to a faulty cruise control switch.  The switch may be a fire hazard.  Ford has reported at least a few vehicle owners have complained of fires.  Ford has settled at leat one lawsuit.  Earl Mohlis filed suit against Ford after his wife died as a result of a fire caused by the faulty switch.

The problematic switch was first brought to light during a CNN story aired in 2005.  The show reported the cruise control switch could cause a fire in the vehicle even after the vehicle was turned off for several hours.  If your Ford vehicle caught on fire and the fire may have been a result of a faulty cruise control switch, contact an attorney to find out what your legal rights are.
