As reported earlier today, a fire truck collided this morning with a school bus while it was in route to a call. The crash took place in Chicago at the intersection of 59th Street and Princeton Avenue. It has now been reported that 44 year old William Grant, a Chicago firefighter, was killed in the crash. There were other reported injuries including the bus driver who had dropped off the children on his route prior to the crash.
The firefighter was a 20 year veteran and a father of three. Three other firefighters were reported injured. The investigation into the cause of the accident is still ongoing.
