A Texas woman recently filed suit against C.B. Fleet Company after she suffered acute renal failure and other side effects after using the companies Phospho soda solution. The solution is used by many patients prior to undergoing a colonoscopy in order to cleanse the patient’s bowels. The lawsuit alleges that the solution causes renal failure and other side effects when it is taken in by patients that use certain blood pressure medications.

The lawsuit goes on to allege that the damage to the woman was avoidable because C.B. Fleet Company knew for at least 12 years about the potential harmful side effects of the drug when it was combined with certain blood pressure medications. There are no warnings on the product that it may be dangerous when taken in combination with certain blood pressure medications. It is likely that there are other people that have been adversly affected by using C.B. Fleet Company’s Phospho soda solution and they may be entitled to take legal action against the company.
