A sixty year old man was the victim of a hit and run in Chicago’s South Suburbs on Friday. Michael Cranston was killed when he was hit by a car while on Matteson roadway. The collision caused Cranston to be propelled through the air, landing with his body through the windshield of the suspect’s car. His legs were severed and were found by police on Friday evening. Cranston’s body was not found until Sunday.

Marcus Hampton, 26, turned himself into police on Wednesday. Cranston’s family may be able to bring a wrongful death lawsuit against Hampton for the death of Cranston. They may be able to recover for his lost life, pain and suffering and lost income.
